EVA LIFE GIVER Inc., (ELG) /DITTO in partnership with Behavioral Health System Baltimore with a series of community events throughout Baltimore. National Prevention Week (May 13-18, 2019) is sponsored by SAMHSA.

 

The week-long campaign is dedicated to increasing the prevention of substance use and the promotion of mental health by promoting prevention
year-round.

Each May National Prevention Week brings individuals, organizations, coalitions, states, and communities together to celebrate the events and activities that communities have held all year to raise awareness about the importance of preventing substance use and mental disorders. In Baltimore, our schools are focused on Towards No Drug Abuse (TND) we are sharing awareness and sharing information. We are spotlighting our champions, these are the people who inspire us and remind us every day that we can inspire others and change lives. And that we can all inspire positive change through the year. Every day and everywhere, whether we make healthy choices for ourselves or inspire others to do so, the small actions we take can change lives for the better.

 

Community Events & Locations

As a part of the National Prevention Week activities, EVA Life Giver Inc. will hold a community outreach event at the Payne Memorial AME Church at 1714 Madison Ave, Baltimore, MD 21217 on Saturday, May 18, 2019, from 12 noon – 3 pm.
